Merry Christmas 2006

Just a blurb on what we’ve been up to in 2006

Justin (Just, J), turns the big “3-0” this month. He returned to Zions Bank in March following GE’s decision to “outsource,” and after six months was promoted to be a commercial loan officer. He enjoys being back at the bank, the only caveat is a 38-mile commute between Layton and Sandy. At church, he stays busy as a nursery leader, co-choir director with Panda, home teaching district leader, and now as a stake auditor. He looks forward to starting an MBA program this next year and is currently trying to decide which school he likes best. Despite the demands of the world, more than anything Justin loves being “Dada” and “sweetheart” to his little crew at home.

Amanda (Panda), whose age is “none of your business,” spends her days with her two adorable babies! No full-time job could ever demand more, but she finds great rewards in being “mama.” Panda truly is THE choir leader at our ward… she first spent the better part of a year as the primary music leader and now takes the bulk of our “shared” ward choir duties—and loves it. Of course, who wouldn’t want to follow her? In addition to that, she is also a visiting teaching supervisor and all around admired gal in the ward and neighborhood.

Caitlin (Caitles, Caitlebug) is 21 months already, and we can’t believe how quickly she’s grown! She is a wonderful big sister and the most loving little angel daughter. She wants to touch everything and is at the height of her curiosity, and we can’t help smile and laugh at how cute she is. Her vocabulary continues to grow daily, including some of our favorites: “war” (water), “cawcarn” (popcorn), “moe” (our cat), “moe” (her doll), “moe-moe” (Nemo), “moe-moe” (Elmo)… needless to say, our kitty, Moe, has had quite the influence on her! J

Will (Wilbur, Willy). “It’s a… boy? Are you sure?” Seven months ago, we were all decked out with pink things and with happy, eager faces. What a fun surprise it was when Will joined our family in place of his alter-ego, Elle. Will has a happy disposition and loves to watch each of us, especially his big sister, Caitlin. They sit together on the floor, share toys and giggle continuously. For their parents, it’s better entertainment than going to the movies!

This Christmas will be unlike any other. We are traveling to Mexico, where we and three other families will help build a small house for a family who currently lives in an old bus. We look forward to the experience and know it will be one that will stay with us for years to come.

We wish the best Christmas and a joyous New Year to you and your family!

All our love,

Justin, Amanda, Caitlin & Will
