Labor Day Weekend
We were thrilled to have my sister, Amy and her kids and husband come spend the weekend with us!! It's ALWAYS fun to be with family... my only complaint was that it went by way too fast!

V is for visitors...
Last Thursday Grammy, Amy, Kevin, Enoch and Ada came to visit us for the weekend! We had such a good time being together...
Friday afternoon we headed out for some Short Pump shoppin'. We hit the Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and lunch at Wendy's! (Amy and I also hit the Hobby Lobby later that afternoon for the first time!! LOVE IT!)
Ada, Enoch (striking a pose... even though i said to be normal and just stand there, this kid rocks!) and Wilbur... they ruled Whole Foods with their little carts...

Lunch at Wendy's
We picked up Caitlin at the bus stop and She was SO EXCITED to see her cousins! Enoch cracks me up... he told his mom... "I love Caitlin so much, some times it makes me nervous!" what a cutie! Caitlin got a bag of bird seeds at school and said she waned to make the birds a treat. peanut butter, bird seeds and pine cones... definitely a friend to the animals! (the squirrles took off with it a few days later!)
Grammy and Brinley read books and colored together.
Saturday afternoon Mom and Amy came to hear me sing, while the men stayed home with the kiddos! I was asked to be apart of a program called "Women at the Well" for a bi-stake Women's Conference that the two stakes south of the river were putting together. It was a one hour program written by Kenneth Cope, about the women in the life of the Savior... they all sings a song and there are narrators... I was asked to play the part of Mary, Mother of Jesus by a friend of mine in the Richmond Mormon Chorale. I sang the song "Miracle from Heaven". It was a beautiful afternoon full of the spirit, tears, and many testimonies strengthened! I LOVE music and how it brings the spirit instantly. It felt so wonderful to be on a stage bearing my testimony of the life of my Savior and faith that i have in him!! It was a good day! I'm so happy my mom and sister were able to come hear me sing. :) (there is even talk about doing it again for another stake... not sure when we'd do that but I'm totally in!)
Here is my costume. I MADE IT! The first clothing pattern I've ever made!! (MamaT check out my shoes! they totally complete my costume! ) my blue head wrap thing was an old table cloth i got at Goodwill for $1.99!
I trimmed Brinley's bangs. eh. maybe i should start paying someone to do it...
Mama Sue brought her CRICKET and we made a banner for Caitlin's Birthday... and it will also go up in her room on the wall!! we did the cricket cut out for the horse and then added a horn! :) we LOVE Unicorns over here!!
That was my first time working with a Cricket... and um... WHAT FUN! I'll share more party decor next week!!!
Fun weekend, Thanks Grammy and Amy (and crew) for making the trek down to hang for the weekend and party with us. Love ya :)
