Preschool!

Wednesday was Will's first day of preschool! He's waited so long for this day... When he got up in the morning I said, "Will, you get to go to school today!" he looked at me (so excited) and said... "Oh, do i get to ride the preschool bus?" (days like this, i wish our pilot was yellow... just to make this little guy's dream come true...)

But that got me thinking... NEXT YEAR- I'll have both Caitlin and Will off to school... on the bus... (oh, i think i feel my heart breaking a little, Are our babies really growing up this fast!!??) Please stay little as long as you can...

First day of preschool picture!

Little Sister, Brinley (I was trying to get them to stand next to each other... that didn't happen.)
Will's Preschool:

waiting for the doors to open!

playing...

Brinley REALLY wanted to get out and play too...
After dropping will off at school, I went visiting teaching... and the most amazing thing happened when i got out of the car ... i saw an ALBINO SQUIRREL! It was amazing... (obviously, this is not a picture i took...) i tried to grab my camera fast... but it was already gracefully gliding across the street and up some trees... But it was SO cool... (and Lucky, i hear!) My friend said that there are a family of albino squirrels that live in her neighborhood. So, on a good day... she'll see like 5 at one time!
Pick up after preschool was fun, Will had a great first day... Briggs, Berkley (twins) and Isabelle (all from church) are in his class too! What fun!
the roller coaster swing! ha!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Will ran up here... climbed up and said... "Look Mommy, I'm Jonny!"

So, a few times a week- it's just ME and BRINNERS... what fun!

Happee Moments Last Week...

Tuesday was the first day of school... It took a few days of getting used to the fact that our little Bug wasn't around... and a few times i found myself in eye's view of the school while running errands. Oh, and it took all my will power not to go over and watch the playground or press my face up to the cafeteria's windows... in hopes of seeing Caitlin in her new element.
She did say to me after school one day... "Mom... guess what? I'm really good at freezing!" (like on the playground, a bell rings and they freeze... then walk into the school.) I shared a funny story from when i was her age... i said... "Caitlin, did you know that When mommy was your age... I LOVED playing on the playground... and ONCE... i didn't freeze because i wanted to keep playing!"
Caitlin said with big eyes... "What happened"
I said, "I got in trouble and had to stay inside during playground time the next day..."
Caitlin, "Oh no!"
Me, "So, can you be a big girl and freeze EVERY TIME so you don't have to miss recess?"
Caitlin, "Yup!"
(true story, it's even written on my report card! I was a wild child.)

Wednesday night, Justin took Will on a little Daddy/Son outing to get some new shoes for church/school and stopped to get a frosty at Wendy's! Will was so happy to go out with daddy... and ride in Lightening McQueen (that's what the kids call the Camry.) Here's a pic of Will's new (size 9) Shoes! He loves them so much he wanted to sleep with them on! :)
Thursday morning was amazing... I took Brinley and Will (and Pepper) out for a jog around the neighborhood! The weather that we have been experiencing has been simply magical... i can't explain how beautiful it is and to be outside getting fresh air, it's just GREAT! ... and I'm excited because it's only going to get MORE beautiful as we get deeper into fall... (love it!)

Here's my little crew sitting snug in the covered wagon! (hm, covered wagon...so does that make pepper an ox?) Ha... she's more like a sled dog... she's pulling most of the weigh and loves to go fast... it's just when she sees a squirrel that things get a little crazy.

This next shot is for Papa and Nana Great: a picture of Brinley Jayne in her hoodie she got for her birthday! It's finally sweater weather here and she looks SO cute!! Thanks Nana and Papa GREAT!
Good Find...
I found this little beauty on Craig's List for Brinley's room! I've decided that I'm not ready for her to grow up just yet... It's the perfect addition for her room to read books, rock and sing songs together... SHE LOVES this chair and smiles when we rock together!! BEST part about this rocking chair... it was $15.00!! Oh yeah!
Kindergarten is coming along... Caitlin enjoys riding the bus, and she was SO excited about buying pizza on Friday, so excited--that she got a second slice and now we owe the cafeteria money!! (oh kids!) She's really tired when she comes home from school... and most days when i ask her how her day was she just moans and says... "I can't talk about it yet... I'm too just tired" Then we play 20 questions the rest of the day...(with all day kindergarten you have to expect that she'll be tired.) Oh to be a fly on the wall in Caitlin's class room. That would be fun. I bet in a few weeks they'll have the routine in order and these kids will start having the time of their lives!!
Justin told me when Caitlin woke up on Saturday she said..."It's time to get ready for school!!" And she was REALLY excited about it, so cute! He made her a delicious French Toast breakfast for her enthusiasm.
Where was I, you ask? Preschool sign up (for Will) for Winter semester... I woke up at 5:20 am, road my trusty bike down the street to meet my friends and from there we carpooled to our 'secret sign up place' and took our spot in line! (Ooh, what a mom will do for cheep Preschool!) Gotta love it! (I actually really do, it was a one of the highlights of my week! My friends just crack me up and we have a good old time... Here's Stacy and Angela (Jared's mom, Will's B.F.F) my camera died, so i didn't get a picture with Shelece and my next door neighbor, Rose. but we were all there... before the sun was up... and we had a good old time... and we all got a spot for our little one for preschool!
