Autumn walk around Wellesley Lake
So, we see from posts and FB statuses of family and friends that Utah has turned winter-like! Well, there is a definite chill in the air in Virginia, especially in the early morning and late evening, but it's still beautiful and fall-like! In fact, it was such a beautiful day today, we decided to enjoy it as a family by talking a walk along the shores of the lake in our neighborhood. First stop, the gazebo out on the water.
C-Bug looking for the resident turtle that likes to swim around out below the gazebo.
Hey Will!
Beautiful mommy and baby B. Lovely ladies!
I love the view from this gazebo... could spend hours out here taking it all in!
Panoramic!
And the other 180 degrees...
The pictures really don't even do it justice.
This one is grainy because I cropped a panoramic pic... the pano over the lake was white-washed, but the pick of Amanda and Caitlin was just so cute.
Hey girls!
This path is truly marvelous!
Love the leaves that outline the path. This is a beautiful little corner right before a little bridge.
Views across the lake.
Love the hardwoods! I think the yellow leaves are from a Hickory tree.
Canadian geese migrating south!
Yeah, I think this pic turned out MUCH better thanks to the casual dog walker that saw me trying to set the camera up on an uneven surface and offered to be our impromptu photog! Thanks, random citizen!
WHAT are you doing, Miss Caitlin??
She just HAD to have "one of these tickler things!"
Okay, I may be biased, but I think I have the cutest kids in the world, and we live in a pretty awesome neck of the woods! I'm excited for winter, but not QUITE yet!
