8 Words Women Use

My Dad sent this to me in an email... just made me laugh...

1.) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

5.) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6.) That's Okay /It's okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can say to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question or faint. Just say "You're welcome" .

8.) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?" For the woman's response refer to #3.

OK, I know THEY say you should never really listen to people who quote people who quote people...(who quote people)

BUT... a friend told me this and I almost dry heaved... SO I had to share it...

She went to a Mary Kay party... and they lady there was telling them how a dermatologist told HER important it was to wash your face... especially before you go to bed...

because if you don't... DUST MITES will crawl on your face and eat your make-up

EWWWWWAAA! (involuntary spastic shaking...)

Also... each time you leave your make-up on over night it ages you TWO WEEKS!!!

AH. i don't know about you... but I'm washing my face EVERY NIGHT and EVERY MORNING!

A Day Late...

Happy Easter... I thought this was cute... you know me... i'm a sucker for dressed up animals!

We is a project people...

So, it's been a while since I've posted anything... yeah, that's because we've been knee deep in another wonderful home project... SO here's what's up....

Project 1:
We (Justin and myself) started painting the front room (finally... after 9 months of living with 'no front room') This is not a huge room, but it's a good size to make you tired after painting it... and we have these cool curved ceilings, an entry etc... so we primed and painted everything... it was fun... uhh, the kind of fun that drives you CRAZY...

We got the primer up by Saturday night... i think... (all the days sorta run together...) and it's a good thing Justin took work off on Monday to finish...well... 'start' the actual painting...

We got two gallons of paint... (both on separate runs to Home De Pot... ) and the one was A LOT darker than the other... turns out they used a 'tinted' base paint... so we had to return that one and get a new one... and re-paint...

GURrr... well it actually was only like 2 by 2 where we painted... and Justin did the painting... so why am i complaining...?

Anyway... Home De Pot was pretty cool about it... and our front room is finally painted!!!!

Justin is AWESOME!

And now it's my turn to shine... and this is why we make a great team because Justin is a rock star at painting walls... and i have the skills and patience for the trim work. So, I'll be painting that tomorrow... YESSSSSSSSSS! almost done...

Project 2:
Yesterday we had a lady come and bid for new windows for our front room and one in our bedroom..(that's a single "pain" in the butt!! haha, bad joke...)

Anyway... we are going to be a 'focus' house for American Exteriors... they will take before and after pictures and put up a sign in our yard... and we get like almost 50% off for GREAT WINDOWS!! They also said they'd take off another 10% if i dressed up as a penguin... i told them I'd think about that!!! :) that was a joke. they didn't ask me that. (Ok, i offered!)

I'm soooooooooo excited! So, our new windows will be installed 1st or 2nd weekend in April... How AWESOME is this??


Project 3:
So, our next real project besides the paint... and windows... is to install an invisible fence... for our part 'kang-a-roo' dog...

Pepper keeps jumping over the fence! (Yeah, our new fence that was last summer's nightmare to put in...) and she jumps it to run after cars, dogs and basically anything that moves... she's in heat... and driving me crazy... so we have to keep her tied up when she's outside... (our appointment to have her spayed is 3 weeks away!)

I guess the good part about this Pepper jumping issue... is that I've met almost everyone in our neighborhood who has a dog (almost everyone)... because Pepper has jumped over the fence to follow them on their walks... and they end up calling me... (number on her tag) or knocking on my door... I think the tally is somewhere in the high teens!

Some day, I'll laugh at all this...

Princess Caitlin!

We had a really good time the other night at the Disney's Princess on Ice for Caitlin's Birthday... Will, especially... really enjoyed all the up tempo songs... (he was waving his arms and keeping time! it was so cute!) Caitlin is a princess from sun up to sun down... this morning she was Tinkerbell... what a darling little princess!

BEFORE:

The best way to give a dog a hair cut i've found is to put him in the in the tub or shower with you... hose 'em down and just start clipping away... yeah... it's not the prettiest hair cut she's ever had... well, infact it's only her 2nd hair cut but at least leaves and sticks and dingle berries aren't sticking to her anymore...

Only thing... i had to put the sweaters on to cover a few bald patches... she had a few 'dred locks' that wouldn't die...

It was the best hour of my life.

YUP! It's decided that the LAST Harry Potter book will be made into TWO moves!!! I am lovin' this... that means more detail that will not be left out! I CAN'T WAIT!!!
